Heritage Open Day 2015 – Update

A big thank you to everyone who helped make Heritage Open Day 2015, held yesterday, a great success. After a damp start and a few showers, the tours guides were kept busy and we managed to do all the ten (10) tours. We managed to get our heads around the booking system, which used to administered by the City Council and filled all the places, following cancellations in the last couple of days.
The scores on the doors at the end of the event, 248 booked - 170 attended....
We could not have been in a position to hold the day without the members, helpers and friends who volunteered their services. (Some travelling from Southport and Stroud).
Like everything we do, lessons learnt for next year and a lot a fresh ideas.......
